The MILITAUR Magnet catch is a magnetic retention device that allows you to easily clasp evidence, gear, tools, and cuffs like an extra 3rd hand in high stress transition situations. It is a useful and versatile way to quickly place any metal/magnetic object to free up your hands while working. It is MOLLE compatible for carriers and bags and has been designed with a belt attachment loop for additional mounting options. This specialized retention device is available in Black or OD Green.
Our MILITAUR Magnet Catch uses neodymium magnets which are extremely powerful. The magnet catch could latch onto any metal object with speed when placed in close proximity. Beware not to get your fingers caught in between the magnet catch and metal objects when the magnet latches.

This is more of a review of Militaur as a brand than anything because I need to voice my appreciation for this company. I Bought this with the intention of using it to hold my baton once deployed. Unfortunately, the product I received had an apparent manufacturing defect on one of the buttons. HOWEVER, I emailed them with my problem and got a same day response (on a holiday I might add) that they would be sending a replacement immediately and provided recommendations of what I could do with the faulty one. This is the first problem I’ve had with a Militaur product and I’m blown away by their customer service and dedication to making customers feel appreciated. With personal thank you notes and bonus goodies thrown in with every order this is the first and only company I can 1000% recommend to friends and co workers. If you’re thinking about pulling the trigger on a Militaur product, do it. You won’t regret it.

It works well at holding my shotgun to my PC and holds well

I got this magnet in hopes of using it to retain a Mossberg Shockwave as a breacher type of shotgun. Too bad the Mossberg doesn't have enough steel at the receiver to hold to the magnet. I was a little disappointed, but hey, I already had the magnet on my belt so in comes the full size Remington 870. With 8 round extension tube loaded with 8 rounds of 00 buck along with a side saddle with 5 rounds of 00 buck, an AR style collapsible stock, flashlight and laser. I don't know what that all weighs but it stuck like a grasshopper to your windshield on a hot summer day. Obviously you'd want a bungee or sling as additional securement but this is hanging on its own from the magnet as example.

So I bought this without a specific purpose in mind for it. I had a few notions, and the real problem is that I find myself wanting a second one.
The first one ended up on the back of a 6x6 clamshell pouch that carries my EDC toolkit in it, it holds the 5lbs toolkit like nothing.
